Pretty much everyone can join the Assassins. They generally can't access warrior lodges, sure, but that's a point specifically for Pagans. Access to the Hermetic Society requires you to reform with a specific and otherwise weak doctrine if you're an unreformed Pagan (besides Hellenes). It has access to a relatively large variety of societies: only reformed Hellenes and Eastern religions have monastic societies. Literally the only way this could be argued against is maybe in 769, and ironically in that date it still doesn't even apply if the player themselves makes any effort at all to save Christianity. Okay, Muslims and Eastern religions have that too, but that doesn't make Christianity weaker. It's a huge group that covers large swaths of the civilized world in every start date. Let's see what sets religions and religious groups apart.
